Aaron Rodgers' teammate and close friend Davante Adams has spoken out rumors that the quarterback could be on his way out of the New York Jets.
The Jets are enduring a miserable season after losing eight of their first 11 fixtures, with Sunday's last-gasp defeat to the Indianapolis Colts all but ending their hopes of reaching the playoffs.
After Robert Salah's firing last month, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich has only picked up one victory in the six games which have followed, and Rodgers' future in New York is now in major doubt as a result.
An inside source told ESPN's Rich Cimini earlier this week that it's highly unlikely Jets owner Woody Johnson will bring the 40-year-old back in 2025.
When asked if he's spoken with Rodgers about those rumors, Adams - who reunited with his long-time buddy after sealing a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders last month - told sports presenter Kay Adams that it's not on their mind right now.
Nevertheless, he refused to rule out that it's very much a possibility.

Rodgers could be on his way out of New York amid the team's disastrous season so far
'At this point it's really not something that gets brought up day-to-day, 'cause we both have a positive mindset in the way that we want to attack every week,' the veteran wide receiver said on the 'Up & Adams' show.
'So if we get to talking about him being on a different team, or me being on a different team, that's just not what we need in our heads right now.
'We gotta put nothing but positive energy and thoughts out there and just keep working.'
Rodgers addressed talk of retirement after their recent blowout loss to the Arizona Cardinals, saying when asked if he will return in 2025: 'I think so.'
The Jets currently sit third in the AFC East with a 3-8 record, meaning they will need to win all of their remaining six regular-season fixtures to give themselves the slightest of chances of reaching the playoffs.
And Adams is not giving up hope of making it through to the postseason despite their current woes.
'We got six weeks left and, like I said, we're not out of it,' he continued. 'The chances are really low, we see all the percentages and all that stuff, but at the end of the day all we can do is worry about the next game.
'Right now this week we've got a bye week, so everyone's gonna reboot hopefully and take our minds off football for a minute, spend time with families and reconnect on the things that really matter in life - because with the job that we have it's easy to lose sight of that.'
The Jets have still struggled since reuniting Rodgers with his good friend Adams last month
General manager Joe Douglas was the latest staff member to be fired earlier this week
Johnson is continuing to shake things up in New York amid their disastrous campaign, with general manager Joe Douglas the latest to be fired on Tuesday.
Douglas' contract was set to expire at the end of the season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. But Johnson appeared unwilling to wait that long and pulled the plug on his tenure in Florham Park early.
Schefter is also reporting that the team has named former Browns general manager Phil Savage as interim general manager.
Douglas had been with the Jets since 2019 - joining the team after that year's draft process. Then-head coach Adam Gase conducted the drafting for the Jets in that season.
