A new experience inspired by the Emmy-winning series Bluey will debut at Disney theme parks in the US and cruise line.

Disney confirmed that an upcoming experience dedicated to Bluey will be at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort and the Disney Cruise Line in a December 19 press release.

The new Bluey experience will first begin on Disney Cruise Line voyages originating from Australia and New Zealand in January 2025.

The vessel passengers who visit the Bluey experience will be able to interact with the title character and her sister Bingo.

'From special meet-and-greets, to an interactive and clue-filled game that ends in a dance party featuring Bluey's signature moves, families in the region can embark on a magical holiday with their favorite blue heeler,' the press release read.

The company has yet to reveal details about the upcoming Bluey experience at the Florida and California theme parks.

Disney worked alongside BBC Studios and the producers of Bluey to create some of the upcoming experience's features.

The future experience was announced days after Disney and BBC Studios announced a movie named after the title character will be hitting theaters in 2027.

Travelers aboard the Disney Wonder cruise ship for an Australian sailing can participate in the Bluey experience starting January 10, 2025

Josh D'Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, explained the company was 'thrilled to bring her story to life' and considers Bluey a 'household name.'

He added that the company is also eager to watch young guests and their families make memories at its theme parks and cruise line.

'It's a lovely day to go boat riding and we're incredibly excited that Bluey and Bingo will be sailing on Disney Cruises, bringing Bluey's magic to families on the high seas,' Ludo Studio revealed.

'The Heeler family's debut at Disney Theme Parks and Cruises really is the icing on the cake for what has been an exceptional year for Bluey,' Nicki Sheard, CEO of BBC Studios, Brands and Licensing, said in the press release.

'We are committed to creating the very best-in-class experiences for our fans and can't wait to open the doors to families next year.'

Bluey has attracted millions of fans worldwide shortly after it premiered in Australia in 2018 and debuted in the US in 2019.

The show was later named 2024's most-watched show in the US, according to Ludio Studio co-founder Daley Pearson in an Instagram post

Despite the show's popularity, social media was divided over whether a Bluey experience would be good for Disney.

The company has not revealed many details about the arrival of the Bluey Disney experience at Walt Disney World

Multiple X users were thrilled about the addition, and one person admitted they were 'crying' over excitement.

At least two tweeters were not as happy with the upcoming experience.

One fan claimed: 'Bluey must be raking in the numbers on Disney plus if disney is willing to pay the licensing fees to have them in the parks at a time where they are getting rid of licensed characters and finding ways to avoid paying them on merchandise.'

Various Reddit users gave more positive responses and one person is hoping the experience plan won't go 'Kabluey.'

'My pipe dream is a Bluey land with highly interactive elements that are fun for kids and adults together,' a Redditor wrote in a post

'My kids would want to spend a whole day there. (And it better be big because the crowd will be huge).'

Other Reddit user said the upcoming experience wasn't the 'Disney vibe' and another added that Bluey was 'driving them up the wall.'

Prior to the experience announcement, social media had already been in a frenzy after Bluey creator Joe Brumm confirmed he was stepping away from the series

The Disney experience announcement comes days after producers confirmed a Bluey movie would be hitting theaters in 2027

Disney fans looking for new attractions other than Blue may be interested in the upcoming Villains Land.

D'Amaro announced construction for the upcoming Walt Disney World addition would begin in 2025 at the D23 Expo last August.

'This land will be home to the villains that you know and those that you loathe, which means happily ever after... It may feel like just a distant dream,' D'Amaro said.

He added that Villains Land will be a 'fearless new vision for what a Disney experience can be.'

Disney also confirmed it would be adding a new ship called the Disney Treasure, which had its christening in November 2024.

The ship includes several areas dedicated to Disney films and theme park attractions and has over 1,200 rooms.

The Disney Treasure's maiden voyage will be a seven-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise from Port Canaveral on December 21.
