An earthquake of magnitude 8.2 struck Mindanao in the Philippines on June 8, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) said.
The quake was at a depth of 10km, GFZ said.
GFZ earlier pegged the earthquake at 7.3. The US Tsunami Warning System issued a tsunami threat to the earthquake. REUTERS
