Eduardo Camavinga has been added to Real Madrid's worrying injury list following his withdrawal during the recent Champions League defeat at the hands of Liverpool.
Madrid are already missing Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Dani Carvajal, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eder Militao and David Alaba, making the trip to Anfield with just 16 first-team players.
With Camavinga forced off shortly before the hour mark of that game, the options at Carlo Ancelotti's disposal are now even further depleted.
ESPN has reported that the muscle injury in the Frenchman's left leg is set to mean a period of around three weeks out of action. This close to Spanish football's winter break, not returning to action until the start of 2025 wouldn't come as a shock.

Madrid face Getafe, Athletic Club, Girona and Rayo Vallecano in La Liga between now and mid-December, as well as an unbeaten Atalanta in the Champions League. The squad are also set to play in the inaugural FIFA Intercontinental Cup final in Qatar on 18 December, a new competition similar to the previous version of the Club World Cup.
Atletico Mineiro or Botafogo, who contest the 2024 Copa Libertadores final in Buenos Aires on Saturday night, are their most likely opponents.
One further La Liga fixture against Sevilla on 22 December will be Madrid's last before Christmas. Camavinga's expected three-week absence means he has a chance of returning for that.
Camavinga, who missed nine games at the start of the season due to a knee injury suffered in training ahead of the UEFA Super Cup win over Atalanta, was replaced by Dani Ceballos at Anfield.
The former Arsenal loanee has played only 231 minutes so far this season and hasn't started more than three successive La Liga games since May 2023.
