ESPN reporter Adam Schefter left one of his colleagues lost for words after suggesting he once dropped a huge NFL story after doing the deed with a woman.

During an appearance on the network's 'This Is Football' show this week, Schefter was asked by fellow ESPN reporter Kevin Clark about the weirdest place he's ever broken news to his millions of followers online.

And his answer left a grinning Clark speechless.

'I can remember being in Denver one time and, erm, I was... erm,' the NFL insider said awkwardly before laughing.

He then continued: 'How do we say this... I'd just spent time with this woman for the first time and I got a text that [former NFL cornerback] Dale Carter was being suspended for eight games for substance abuse.

'And so as I continued to lay there, confirm it... I got the job done Kevin.'

He then added to leave Clark on the verge of laughter: 'In every which way.'

'I'm just looking straight at the camera buddy,' Clark told him.

Schefter, who has over 11 million followers on X, is one of the most reputable reporters in the NFL.

However, earlier this month he was forced to deny claims that he used an illegal streaming site to watch a recent game between the New York Jets and the Houston Texans.

Schefter posted a highlight clip of Jets receiver Malachi Corley fumbling the ball before crossing the goal line, only for eagle-eyed X users to spot a 'MethStreams.com' watermark in the top-left corner.

On The Pat McAfee Show a few days later, the hosts were joking about the clip when McAfee decided to phone Schefter to joke with him over it.

'It's the most ridiculous thing that I tried to [steal] $8.99 a month, when my wife spends an average of $8.99 a minute with Amazon,' he said on the phone.
