A championship-winning Florida high school football coach was allegedly caught on camera watching pornography in a classroom in front of students.
Max Edwards, the head football coach at Miami Jackson Senior High School, was caught viewing the porn on a school computer in the view of at least one student, who filmed it, according to footage obtained by CBS Miami.
The video shows a staffer, alleged to be Edwards, at a desktop in the corner of a classroom with the explicit content blatantly on the screen.
Edwards has been placed on leave as the Miami-Dade School District investigates, officials said.
“Miami-Dade Public Schools is disturbed by the allegation made regarding concerning behavior involving an employee at Miami Jackson Senior High School,” the district said in a statement.
“The individual has been removed from the school site pending the outcome of an investigation.”
It’s unclear whether Edwards could face criminal charges.
Edwards is a prominent high school football coach in southern Florida.
He previously coached at Miami Northwestern Senior High School for a decade where he led his teams to three state championships, according to WPLG.
