A grandmother has sparked a heated debate after she made an honest confession about not wanting to be around her granddaughter.
Katie Peterson, 52, from Oklahoma, made the shocking admission on TikTok earlier this month following a two-day visit from her two-year-old granddaughter, Sage.
She professed that by the second day, she was anxiously waiting for the toddler's 'parents to come pick her up' because she was so 'tired' from taking care of her.
She added that she couldn't relate to grandparents who want to watch their grandkids 'every single day.'
Katie also joked that when it comes to 'being responsible for a tiny human,' she had already 'been there and done that.'
Her comments quickly went viral, and lead to many other grandparents sharing in her sentiment.
'"I can’t imagine not wanting to keep my grandkids every single day" — [that's] not me,' Katie began in the video, which has been viewed 76,000 times.
'I had my granddaughter overnight on Friday night and all day Saturday and by Saturday night, I was like, "When are your parents coming to pick you up?"

'And 98 percent of the time, she’s the best. But she’s two, so she loves to throw fits ... I was tired by Saturday night.'
Katie admitted that after the visit she realized just how much she 'loves' the peace and quiet of having an 'empty nest.'
'I love getting to sit out here in my patio and not have to be responsible for a tiny human,' she continued.
'Been there, done that. It was great, but now I like my incremental times with my granddaughter.
'If you want your grandkids every day that is totally fine. No judgement. You don't judge me and I won't judge you.'
The Oklahoma-native did add that '24 hours' after Sage left, she wanted her to 'come back' because she 'missed her.'
In the end, she decided she needed a '12 to 24 hour break' between visits.
'Then I'm ready to go again. That's how I grandparent,' she concluded.

The video lead to many other grandparents sharing their take on the subject in the comment section.
'100 percent agreed,' one person replied, while another added, 'I love my granddaughter with all my heart but I feel the same way.'
'Same girl, [parenting] is exhausting and for young folks only,' joked someone else.
'My husband and I say we love the head lights but we really love the tail lights! Ha. Six grandkids. We love them,' read a fourth comment.
A fifth said, 'I thought I was a bad grandma for feeling like this… Thank you lol.'
