Plastic surgeons are taking drastic measures to make people who have lost huge amounts of weight after taking Ozempic and other weight loss drugs look good again.
Facial fat transfer procedures are more popular than ever because women have been losing so much weight in their face rapidly, leaving them with some have called 'Ozempic face.'
Chicago-based facial plastic surgeon Dr. Benjamin Caughlin even developed the FaceBBL, a treatment that takes fat from one part of the face and transfers it to another area.
Dr. Caughlin said it's 'extremely similar to the Brazilian Butt Lift, where they take fat from the belly and put it into the buttocks to create a big curve.'
The Face BBL isn't the only procedure plastic surgeons are opting for after younger patients lose large amounts of weight - now, they're getting everything from body sculpting procedures to skin removal.

Boston-based facial plastic surgeon Dr. Akshay Sanan said that his younger patients on weight loss shots come in for facial fillers
Dr. Caughlin explained that when he's performing a FaceBB he takes fat from one area of the face and adds it to another to create peaks and valleys.
However, if someone doesn't have enough fat in their face, he can pull it from their hips, stomach or butt - anywhere where there's extra fat.
'The result is a more sculpted and contoured face,' Dr. Caughlin said. 'It’s all about taking volume out of one spot and increasing the volume in another.'
'The development of this technique was influenced by the demand for less filler and the impact of medications like Ozempic on facial fat,' Dr. Caughlin advised.
'Facial fat transfers have had a new boom as Ozempic has gained popularity, and people are losing weight on their faces quickly,' Dr. Caughlin told FEMAIL.
Boston-based facial plastic surgeon Dr. Akshay Sanan said that his younger patients on weight loss shots come in for facial fillers, while older ones who have lost more than 20 pounds seek alternatives.
Dr. Sanan said he's seen patients who are between 48 and 55 often undergo a facelift and neck lift and simultaneously they undergo facial fat transfer.
'Losing 20 plus pounds and having age-related skin looseness cannot be replaced with gel fillers alone. There's just too much skin and it needs to be treated with a facelift and neck lift,' Dr. Sanan said.

For some patients, getting facial fat transfer 'can provide long term results when weight loss is stable and can be much more cost effective than fillers,' according to Dr. Rukmini Rednam
Dr. Sanan, who trained at Stanford, has found many of his Gen X patients are taking Ozempic, and they usually get a 'bespoke combination of brow lift, eyelid surgery, deep plane facelift and neck lift, lip lift, facial fat transfer and lasers to dial back the clock.'
Dr. Sanan's younger patients on Ozempic sometimes get a brow lift and eyelid surgery combined with facial fat transfer to help them maintain a youthful look, as well as lasers and non-surgical skin tightening of their jawline and neck skin.
Dr. Prem Tripathi has 'definitely seen an increase in fat transfers'
Dr. Prem Tripathi in Beverly Hills, California, said he's 'definitely seen an increase in fat transfers, use of biostimulators and procedures after Ozempic use since facial fat is notoriously easy to lose with rapid weight loss.'
Dr. Tripathi has seen patients get body sculpting procedures to tone muscle, radiofrequency microneedling throughout the body to tighten their skin, and Sculptra, an injectable that stimulates collagen, in both the glutes and face.
For some patients, getting facial fat transfer 'can provide long term results when weight loss is stable and can be much more cost effective than fillers,' according to Dr. Rukmini Rednam.
Dr. Rednam, who's located in Houston, Texas, has also seen patients get 'larger skin removal procedures, which in the past were mainly for Bariatric procedures.'
