In a telephone conversation on Thursday, Araqchi and his Lebanese counterpart Abdallah Rashid Bouhabib discussed the latest developments in Lebanon following the establishment of a ceasefire.

Araqchi welcomed the truce agreement, attributing the success to the unwavering resilience of the Lebanese people, the steadfast efforts of the resistance fighters, and the political wisdom of Nabih Berri, speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, as well as the government of Lebanon.

He also reaffirmed Iran’s steadfast support for the government, people, army, and resistance of Lebanon.

Pointing to the Zionist regime’s history of reneging on agreements, the Iranian foreign minister emphasized the need for Lebanon to remain vigilant and exercise serious caution regarding the implementation of the ceasefire.

Pointing to the recent developments in Syria and the renewed activities of Takfiri terrorist groups, Araqchi described these incidents as part of a US-Zionist plot to destabilize the region following the failures and setbacks of the Zionist regime in the face of the resistance.

He stressed the necessity of a robust and effective response to the scourge of terrorism.

The Lebanese foreign minister, for his part, provided a detailed account of Lebanon’s situation following the ceasefire.

He also thanked Iran for its enduring solidarity and support for Lebanon.
