Kelly Clarkson wasted no time in confronting Josh Brolin after he strangely compared her to his late mother in his recently released memoir.
The Because of You singer, 42, invited The Goonies actor, 56, onto her chat show in an episode that aired on Wednesday, where she probed him about the reference – causing him to make a grand apology.
'So, I read your book,' Kelly began before adding, 'What the hell man? What the hell?
'I remind you of your mother?'
Josh stifled his laughter as the television presenter continued to express her shock.
'If you read this book, it is kind of not the best compliment,' Kelly stated. 'She made you feed wolves and lions at the age of eight?'
Eventually Josh apologized, and as he did so, he jumped out of his seat and bowed down to Kelly on the studio floor.
'I will say, I hope I gather what you mean by it,' Kelly eventually offered.

Josh went on to describe his mom as an 'emotional drag racer,' adding that she was 'a lot of fun' and 'very adventurous.'
'I get it,' Kelly said. 'I was just reading it, and I was like who does he think I am?'
Josh's mother, Jane Cameron, was a casting director and wildlife activist.
She tragically died in a car accident at the age of 55 when Josh was in his 20s.
Josh's new tell-all memoir, Fromm Under The Trucker, arrived on Tuesday.
The Dune actor was forthcoming with personal details, including the tragic loss of his best friend at a young age and his battle with substance abuse that spanned over a decade.
In the book, Josh said that his stepmother Barbra Streisand helped get him sober, offering much-needed support during one of the toughest times in his life.
He also recounts a pivotal moment from 1981, when he took acid for the first time with friends, leading to a harrowing 12-hour trip that marked a turning point in his life.

In addition, Josh, who first found fame as a child when he starred in the hit movie The Goonies, opened up about feeling out of place while filming the 1985 classic at just 16.
He recalled being driven to an airport with his guardian, heading off to shoot the film for several months.
It was there that he met his fellow cast members - Sean Astin, Corey Feldman, Ke Huy Quan, and Martha Plimpton - and the rest of the production crew.
'I can't help but feel I've done something good for the first time in my life,' he penned about the moment at the airport, 'but also it might be a mistake that I'm here.'
'It's all very strange that I'm here with them, a part of it,' he added of his cast. 'I've never been part of anything other than with people who nobody else wanted to be a part of.'
