Liberal women are taking to TikTok explaining that they refuse to wear red after the election and think conservatives have 'ruined' the shade.

Democrats are ditching everything from cherry clothing to nails following the election, saying they can't stand the color anymore since it's associated with the Republican party

Los Angeles-based queer content creators Kirstie Pike and Christine Diaz shared a video with their 529,000 followers that showed them shopping and rejecting all of the crimson clothes.

'POV: seeing the color red grosses you out,' they wrote over the video, captioning it, 'I don't want to be associated with the color red anymore.'

It's not just the beauty brands you use and designers you wear that could reveal your political affiliation - it's also your go-to clothing shade.

'I refuse to wear red anymore. I hate the color red now!' one outraged commenter agreed.

'Wearing black bc I'm in an official mourning period of likely four years,' another woman said.

'Never wearing red again! I'm even angry over the red heart emoji,' a woman claimed, which was a popular sentiment.

'I had to get rid of all of my red clothing, accessories, etc.,' a person announced.

'You and me both. I've already cleaned out my entire closet and will never buy another red piece of clothing ever again. I've gone all blue in my closet lately and I like it,' one commenter said.

Other women discussed colors they were swapping red for including forest and emerald green.

'I did my nails with this super pretty red yesterday. Then connected red made me sick, immediately wiped it off, and put on a purple with blue accent nail,' one commenter said.

Many commenters agreed they were ditching their crimson manicures following the election.

'Red anything is off the table for the foreseeable future,' one woman said. 'I'm thinking black like the darkness that's living in my soul'

Content creator Kristin, who is from Buffalo, New York, and now lives in Ohio, made a video and asked 'What nail color are we doing for the holidays?' explaining that she's always been a red girl, 'but now it's basically against my religion.'

'The color red is dead to me,' Kristin joked in text over the video, before showing that she went with black nail polish, instead, and said she'd be using the hue for the foreseeable future.

Some women said they were going with the moody OPI Lincoln Park After Dark.

Others said they were choosing forest green, and one woman said she opted for a 'French manicure with a solid blue on my middle fingers.'

'Red anything is off the table for the foreseeable future,' one woman said. 'I'm thinking black like the darkness that's living in my soul.'

'I'm so upset that red is ruined right now. I love dark red colors on me but I just can't do it,' another woman agreed.
