A doorbell camera captured a young girl hilariously sharing the intimate details of her mom's colonoscopy prep with her friends.

Back in September, Brandi Lister, 41, from Iowa, was preparing to get her first colonoscopy - a common procedure that involves doctors looking inside the colon and rectum to check for cancer.

The night before, patients must take a laxative that will force them to 'clean out their bowels,' per Cleveland Clinic, which usually involves many trips to the bathroom.

Brandi's laxative had already kicked in when two of seven-year-old daughter Emma's friends knocked on the door and asked if they could come in to play.

But the youngster explained that her mom was 'pooping like crazy,' and her comical interaction was caught on their doorbell camera.

'My mom is home but she's gonna poop like crazy, okay?' Emma was heard telling her two friends in the clip, as they both erupted in laughter.

'Stop, it's not funny. She has to get surgery when it's over, it's not funny at all,' she added.

'I can't stop laughing,' one of the boys confessed.

'So you can't play? Has is started already?' the other asked her.

'I can ask. Yeah, she started already, and oh it's bad,' Emma then revealed.

While chatting with the Today show about it, Brandi explained that her wife, Sarah, worked nights so she knew she was going to be home alone with her daughters, Emma and Tommi, three, when the laxative kicked in.

She said she had 'prepped' Emma about what was going to occur and warned her that she 'might need her help' watching her younger sister if it got bad.

'She is empathetic and she wears her heart on her sleeve,' Brandi explained. 'I had no idea she would be so candid when the doorbell rang.'

Brandi decided to share the video on Facebook, where it quickly went viral, and it has since been re-posted by her local news outlet.

'I had to share it with the world,' she said. 'My younger self would have been embarrassed but as soon as I became a parent, nothing really embarrasses me.'

Viewers were left in shambles over Emma's honest confession, and they took to the comment section to share their thoughts.

'Then the boys go home and tell their parents how much their friends mom can't stop pooping and it's bad,' one person joked.

'As someone who has yearly colonoscopies I understand this completely! Hahaha so cute,' another wrote.

'I love listening to little kid conversations and how serious they can be. So cute,' someone else added.

'Kids always telling all your dang business,' a fourth comment read.

A fifth said, 'Nothing is sacred with kids.'
