A man who inherited a $5 bill from his grandmother was left stunned after he found out how much it may actually be worth.
Charlotte Carroll explained on TikTok recently that her boyfriend, Tommy, had received his grandma's collection of bank notes - and noticed that one had a massive misprint on it.
And after sharing footage of the rare bill on the platform, the couple was shocked to learn that they could get hundreds of thousands of dollars for it.
'My boyfriend inherited this $5 bill from his grandma. It has to be the most insane banknote I have ever seen,' Charlotte wrote as she showed off the five dollar bill in the video.
From the front, the bank note looked completely normal - but as she turned it over, she revealed a noticeable error on the back.
The bottom right corner was missing a chunk of the design, and if you look closely, you can faintly see numbers that were printed backwards.
While chatting with Newsweek about it, Charlotte revealed that Tommy has since received an offer for $400,000 for the bill - but she said they have decided not to part ways with it.
'It is our most favorite, and priceless, piece out of anything in our collection,' she explained.

Someone else added, 'Misprints are super rare and very valuable.'
'You should get that appraised. Bad [printed] money is worth quite a bit, because that's not supposed to happen or be in circulation,' a fourth comment read.
The American Numismatic Association, which is 'dedicated to the study and collection of bills and coins,' previously told NBC Los Angeles that 'currency misprints are extremely rare, making them extremely valuable among collectors.'
Back in April, it was revealed that two batches of $1 bills that had been accidentally printed with duplicate serial numbers - a much less noticeable mistake than the one on Tommy's bill - were worth as much as $150,000.
