The glamorous ex-girlfriend who gave grand jury testimony in the Matt Gaetz sex trafficking probe can be revealed today as former Capitol Hill intern Brianna Garcia – who now says he'll make a 'great' Attorney General.

Multiple sources confirmed to DailyMail.com that Garcia, 28 – a Democrat campaigner and House of Cards aficionado – was the previously unidentified former flame who gave secret evidence in the investigation into the Trump loyalist.

Liberal outlets predicted that her 'bombshell' 2022 testimony would land Gaetz behind bars for paying an underage girl for sex and obstructing justice.

But the Justice Department shuttered its three-year probe last year without indicting the GOP firebrand, who denied any wrongdoing and branded it a 'witch hunt'.

Garcia confirmed to DailyMail.com this week that she was previously in a relationship with Gaetz, 42 – but would not reveal what she revealed about him on the stand.

'I really don't want to talk about a boyfriend from so long ago,' she said, clutching a toddler in her arms outside her waterfront apartment in Tampa, Florida.

She added: 'That's like a past life now.'

The Gaetz sex trafficking furor was reignited last week when President-elect Donald Trump stunned the political establishment by tapping the Florida Republican for Attorney General.

The ex-girlfriend who testified in the sex trafficking probe into Matt Gaetz, 42, in 2022 has finally been unmasked by DailyMail.com as Brianna Garcia, 28

A House-led ethics panel has been examining the same set of allegations but its findings may never see the light of day because Gaetz immediately resigned from Congress to take up Trump's offer.

His Senate nomination will likely be hotly contested but Garcia has no qualms about her former lover becoming the nation's top law enforcement official.

'He'll be great for the country. Matt's very smart,' she told DailyMail.com.

The now-shuttered Federal probe into Gaetz allegedly examined three possible offenses: sex trafficking; violating the Mann Act, which bans taking prostitutes across state lines; and obstructing justice.

He came to the attention of investigators in 2020 when alleged 'wingman' Joel Greenberg, a former Florida tax collector, was indicted on dozens of offenses, including trafficking a 17-year-old girl.

The same girl, who is now 24 and works as a cam porn model on OnlyFans, is said to have told authorities that she also slept with Gaetz while she was underage.

Garcia's testimony only emerged because she was seen with her lawyer Tim Jansen on the steps of the Federal Courthouse in Orlando in January 2022.

'All I can say is CNN saw me and my client come in, and I am confirming I am here, but I can't make any comment,' Jansen said, cryptically.

Garcia, a Democrat who dated Matt Gaetz between 2017 and 2018, supported his nomination and said he'd be 'great for the country', when approached by DailyMail.com

Trump stunned both sides of the political aisle after he announced he is nominating Matt Gaetz to lead his Department of Justice as Attorney General last week

His client was heralded as a key witness because she was allegedly in an open relationship with Gaetz from 2017 to 2018 and could dish on his flings and financial transactions with other women, according to a well-placed source.

She also accompanied Gaetz, several of his associates and a handful of young women on a trip to the Bahamas in 2018 that came under close scrutiny, it was reported.

Feds further examined whether a three-way phone call Gaetz allegedly made to Garcia and another woman, after he learned he was being investigated, amounted to obstruction of justice.

While Greenberg was jailed for 11 years for sex trafficking, stalking and wire fraud, an indictment of Gaetz never materialized – to the chagrin of opponents on both sides of the aisle.

It was reported last week that the separate misconduct inquiry instigated by the House Ethics Committee heard from two witnesses who claim Gaetz paid them for sex.

One of the women reportedly testified that she saw him having sex with her 17-year-old high school student friend at a house party, according to ABC.

Gaetz's alleged 'wingman' Joel Greenberg, once considered a rising star in Florida Republican circles, was indicted on dozens of offenses, including trafficking a 17-year-old girl in 2020

However, leading Republicans say the inquiry is now moot and the findings should remain unpublished because Gaetz is no longer in Congress.

'I'm afraid that that would open a Pandora's box because the jurisdiction of the Ethics Committee is limited to those who are serving in the institution,' House Speaker Mike Johnson told Fox News Sunday.

Garcia, a native of Wilmington, Illinois, first got involved in politics while studying for a bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Central Florida.

She canvassed for the Florida Democratic Party in 2015 and two years later began volunteering for Headcount, a non-profit that promotes voter registration at concerts and festivals.

'When Brianna is not reading about innovation in education or watching House of Cards, she is hula hooping, practicing yoga, or gardening… or headbanging to some heavy dubstep!' the group's website says.

Garcia interned at the U.S. House of Representatives for four months in 2018 and worked as a campaign coordinator for former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine's failed 2018 bid to become Florida Governor.

From 2019 to June 2021, she was a policy analyst at the Florida Department of Education before announcing that she was 'transitioning from public policy/state government to start a new path in real estate.'

Gaetz's path to confirmation through the traditional Senate process doesn't seem likely

Gaetz, who married Ginger Luckey, 30, in August 2021, is expected to oversee radical change in the Justice Department if he's installed as Attorney General

For the past two years Garcia has been a sales rep, according to LinkedIn, where she says of herself: 'My experience is in education, policy, government, sales, customer service, writing, and social sciences.

'My passion is and always will be helping people and our planet.'

Gaetz, who married Ginger Luckey, 30, in August 2021, is expected to oversee radical change in the Justice Department if he's installed as Attorney General.

He could also launch probes into possible collusion between the Biden administration and the various federal and state prosecutors who criminally investigated Trump while he ran for President.

Posting on X last Friday, a defiant Gaetz said: 'Lies were weaponized to destroy me.

'These lies resulted in prosecution, conviction, and prison. For the liars, not me.'
