Making the situation even more interesting, Underwood took to his Instagram Story after the news broke and posted a photo of an LSU football player holding a pendant that’s the number two.
In 2021, Underwood was named the national Freshman of the Year by MaxPreps, and in the past two seasons, he’s tallied 69 touchdown passes and five interceptions while also punching in 10 rushing touchdowns.

It was wild enough that a university would give a high school kid $1 million to transfer for a season, now we’re looking at a situation where players are going to start receiving literal professional contracts. Four years at $10.2 million?
That’s insane considering what college athletics used to be when it came to student-athletes being paid, we went from no salary to now millions over multiple seasons.
Crazy times we live in.
