Queen Elizabeth II allegedly found Donald Trump rude and disrespectful, despite his claim that he was "her favourite President".
The President-elect reportedly offended the Queen when he suggested Princess Margaret, who died at the age of 71, was a difficult sister.
A source involved in arranging Trump’s 2019 state visit to the UK said: "Trump put his foot in it by saying Margaret must have been a difficult sister.
"The Queen was very annoyed with this remark, which she viewed as ignorant and hurtful."

They told the Daily Mail: "She always defended Margaret to the hilt."
It is thought that Trump made the alleged comment after watching The Crown series on Netflix, which portrays the Queen's sister as resentful of her elder sister.
The show released two series before the 2019 visit, where Margaret’s decision not to marry Peter Townsend was a prominent plot line.
The series also highlighted Queen Elizabeth's desire for her sister not to marry the divorcee.

Craig Brown’s book, A Voyage Around the Queen, claims that the late Queen had told a guest that she had “particularly disliked” the way the President-elect looked over her shoulder as if “in search of others more interesting”.
Trump denied these claims as “totally false”.
The ex-President was elected to serve a second term in office after defeating Democratic candidate Kamala Harris during the US presidential election.
After being elected to serve a second term in office, Trump was videoed flicking through a photo album of his time with the Royal Family.

Trump has long maintained that he was the Queen's favourite Commander-in-Chief.
He said: "This was with Queen Elizabeth, she was always fantastic by the way.
“She was unbelievable, she was great, we had a very good relationship, really good."
"These images, I mean who has images like this? And these were relationships."
"It's a piece of history at the highest level."
