Sean “Diddy” Combs’ former bodyguard claimed the rapper performed a bird sacrifice before the verdict was read over his involvement in the 1999 nightclub shooting.
In the new Hulu documentary “The Honorable Shyne,” Gene Deal recalled the Revolt co-founder allegedly visiting New York City’s Central Park the morning of his verdict reading in March 1999.
Deal said the disgraced hip-hop mogul, 55, had his driver take him to meet a man who had been waiting for him at the park.
“When Puff got close to the guy, he just dropped down to his knees,” he explained, per Rolling Stone.
“Next thing I see, is this smoke just going back and forth around Puff. I guess it was sage or something like that.”
Deal alleged that the man, holding a Bible, began praying and laying his hands on Combs.
The man then instructed the “Act Bad” rapper to grab a white bird from the cage he had brought.
“Puff took this white bird and threw it up in the air, and the bird just fell to the ground, boom, like it was a brick,” Deal claimed.
“I was like, ‘Oh, s–t!’ … The bird died, man … the bird didn’t even move. [Combs] just walked away from him real quick.”
Page Six has reached out to Combs’ reps for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Hours after the alleged sacrifice, Combs was acquitted of all charges against him regarding the 1999 nightclub shooting that left several people injured, including a woman who was shot in the face.
However, his Bad Boy Records protégé Moses “Shyne” Barrow was found guilty of several charges, including assault and criminal possession of a pistol.
The “Bad Boyz” rapper, 46, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and was ordered to be deported back to his homeland of Belize upon his release.
In the new documentary, Barrow said all of Combs’ evil ways are now “coming to light.” He also believes he was the “fall guy” for the Sean John founder during the trial.
“Because when I said it [at the time], everyone was partying and having a great time with Diddy while I was left to rot in prison,” he said in the doc, which follows his life from his short-lived rapping career to becoming a politician.
Combs told Rolling Stone in a statement that he “categorically denies” Barrow’s allegations, “including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr. Barrow to ‘take the fall’ or ‘sacrificed’ him by directing witnesses to testify against him. These claims are unequivocally false.”
On Sept. 16, the dad of seven was detained by federal agents and hit with three charges: sex trafficking by force, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and his trial is set to begin on May 5.
Combs is also facing several lawsuits, accusing him of a range of crimes, including drugging victims, sexual assault and rape. He has denied all claims.
“The Honorable Shyne” is now available to stream on Hulu.
