Sephora has hit back after viral rumors that it supported Donald Trump's campaign prompted left-leaning voters to boycott the beauty brand.

TikTokers urged consumers to black-list the cosmetics company, which adamantly denied those rumors, based on the false claims it had donated 'thousands of dollars' to the president-elect's team.

Before the company set the record straight, videos pushing for the boycott racked up millions of views and sparked widespread fury online as Gen Z pledged never to set foot in a Sephora store again.

One TikToker with the handle @karressmarie4 claimed the brand made 'big big big donations' to Trump's cause in a video, which got 1.9 million views after being shared 528,000 times.

Content like this prompted people to denounce Sephora on other platforms too.

One former fan of the beauty brand said she had been convinced to buy from competitors instead because of the apparent political implications.

'I love Sephora and I spend thousands of dollars there, but after seeing they donated to Trump and they’re a company who provide services and products for women, it’s a smack in the face, I guess it’s time to go elsewhere, not for nothing we need to switch over to Ulta,' she wrote.

Sephora, which is owned by French multinational company LVMH, denied the rumors

'Sephora, get ready to have the worst Christmas,' another X user threatened.

'We are on every online site to let people know especially women that you Donated a tremendous amount of money to Trump.

'Can’t wait till you see your earnings on January 1st. Have the next few months you deserve, boycott Sephora!'

Sephora, which is owned by French multinational company LVMH, denied the rumors in a statement.

'It has come to our attention that there is incorrect information circulating on social media regarding company donations,' a spokesperson said.

'Sephora does not make corporate donations to political candidates. Sephora's mission is to create a welcoming beauty shopping experience for all.'

DailyMail.com has reached out to @karressmarie4, the creator of the original video calling for a boycott.

However, in response to learning that Sephora did not donate to Trump, @karressmarie4 told Newsweek, 'Number one, I looked at the retail PACs and I looked at who they donated to.

'Number two, I looked at what companies were in these retail PACs—who was members of these retail PACs.

'I looked at what federations they were involved in, and that's how I came up with the assumption that Sephora was donating lots and lots of money via all these PACs and these federations. They're all connected.'

'Even if I did make a mistake in connecting the dots to Sephora through the federations that I thought they were involved with, that I saw they were involved with, all f****** well.

'They're still not a company you should be spending your money with. They're expensive as f***. And they're making record-breaking profits while paying American citizens s***** a** wages.'

The cosmetics company is normally very popular among Gen Z shoppers as a supplier which provides cult brands not often seen on the high street.

The global beauty retailer also stocks products, including the likes of Rihanna's Fenty Beauty range and Haus Labs by Lady Gaga

A recent store opening in the UK even prompted people to camp overnight for the grand opening, desperate to secure the goods.

Thousands of beauty fans lined up in the freezing cold outside Birmingham's Bullring on November 10 ready for the 10 am launch.

Photos from the mall showed crowds packing the surrounding storefront, with devoted make-up and skincare savants at the ready.

Sephora isn't alone in facing the heat from liberals poised to boycott anything associated with the incoming president without a second thought.

Nicole Scherzinger was recently booed at the end of one of her acclaimed Broadway performances after her support for Trump was revealed.

The New York City audience let their feelings known as the 46-year-old leading lady bowed to the crowd after her turn as Norma Desmond in 'Sunset Boulevard' at the St. James Theater on November 10.

While most in the venue were cheering, a few audible boos also rang out, days after Nicole's MAGA leanings became public knowledge.

Meanwhile, tickets for the much-hyped Broadway show are on sale for as low as $89 each, despite the cheapest tickets for hot NYC shows regularly hitting $300.

Some fans even pledged to attend on Sundays when Scherzinger is replaced by an understudy.
