Mark Hamill has been slammed after he appeared to compare Donald Trump's election to Pearl Harbor.
The Star Wars actor, 73, took to Bluesky to describe election day as 'a Day That Will Live In Infamy.'
It is the phrase Franklin Roosevelt used to describe the horrific Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, which forced the US to enter World War II.
While Hamill did not receive any pushback on the BlueSky platform, which is mostly used by liberals, many X users took issue with the comparison.
'Mark has allowed the darkness to consume his soul,' said on X user after the account Libs of Bluesky shared Hamill's post on X.
'Mark's not a big fan of democracy,' said another.
'At last he found a place where he can push his nonsense with no pushback,' added a third X user.
Hamill has long been a staunch critic of Trump and Republicans and fiercely supported Kamala Harris during the presidential election.

Posting a photo smiling alongside VP Harris in July, he wrote in a caption: 'I want to offer my full support & endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year - @JoeBiden.
'Vote for the candidate who will both honor & further his legacy: @KamalaHarris. #HamillHeartsHarris.'
And on September 20, he shared a snapshot of Kamala by herself, writing, '47 days til she’s 47.'
Back in May, Hamill even visited the White House, praising the president's record and debuting a potential new Biden nickname.
'Well, you know, I called him Mr. President. He said, "You can call me Joe." And I said, "Can I call you Joe B.-Wan Kenobi?' the Luke Skywalker actor said. 'He liked that,' Hamill added.
'How many of you have Mark Hamill will lead the press briefing on your BINGO card,' he asked surprised journalists. 'Yeah, me neither,' the actor joked.
'I just got to meet the president and he gave me these aviator glasses,' Hamill went on. 'I love the merch, I love it all.'
He then explained why he was a continued supporter of the Biden administration.
'But listen I just want to say I was honored to be asked to come to the White House to meet the president, the most legislatively successful president in my lifetime,' said the 72-year-old.
'And I don't have to go through the list, the bipartisan infrastructure law, the PACT Act, the CHIPS Act. 15 million jobs. It's all good.'
Hamill has previously found himself in hot water over his rhetoric about Trump.
After Trump survived an assassination attempt over the summer, the actor was slammed for mocking the president-elect's appearance at the Republican National Convention.
Hamill wrote at the time: '1st APPEARANCE of ludicrously oversized ear bandage, apparently not needed prior to tonight [ear emoji and rolling on the floor laughing emoji].'
