Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis release date & pre-order info revealed

Lara Croft is going back to her roots in the second remake of the original game, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming title so far.

First revealed at the 2025 Game Awards, Legacy of Atlantis is another reimagining of the very first game in the Tomb Raider series, following Lara as she searches for the lost secrets of the mythical city of Atlantis.

The game is staying true to its roots with a new HD flair, bringing back familiar puzzles and epic T-Rex battles with new mechanics and eye-popping visuals.

During the June 2026 PlayStation State of Play, a second trailer for the game was revealed, along with a release date and pre-order information.

What players can expect from Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis

This game deepens the original story with strong connections that bridge Lara’s iconic adventure to her more recent exploits and beyond.

Players will make use of her strength, gymnast-like agility, and her trusty grappling hook to traverse treacherous terrain. Puzzles are back, as is combat, using her dual pistols and other unlockable weapons to keep foes like human mercenaries and even mythological creatures at bay.

Described as the “definitive version” of the game, developers say it’s a chance to “relive the adventure that started it all with a fresh perspective and new surprises.”

Lara Croft: Legacy of Atlantis releases on February 12, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
