Dramatic video footage captured the arrest of a woman who led police on a bizarre miles-long car chase throughout the parking lot of an outdoor shopping center in Texas.
Marie Schneider, 37, of San Antonio, was arrested at a hair salon and booked on charges of assaulting a police officer and driving while intoxicated after she led Texas troopers on a high-speed chase that started off in New Braunfels, before finally ending at The Alamo Quarry shopping center on Thursday.
The footage showed Schneider taking several laps around the busy parking lot in her white Toyota Crossover as police sirens blared in the background.
As police cars chased the patient care coordinator throughout the parking lot from multiple different directions, she was captured smiling and waving her hand through the sunroof of her car - seemingly unfazed as bystanders filmed the entire ordeal.
Schneider rammed into several cars in the parking lot during the wild cat-and-mouse chase - including a trooper’s patrol car - as she attempted to escape while showing no signs of stopping.
Her SUV finally came to a halt and she ran straight for a salon in the shopping center where troopers immediately put her in cuffs.
The video footage then captured the 37-year-old woman being led out of the salon and placed on the hood of a trooper’s vehicle while she smiled, laughed and addressed witnesses' cameras like she was a celebrity.
No one was hurt during the chase, and she was quickly booked into Bexar County Jail - making it the second time that she was charged for driving while heavily intoxicated.
