1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has admitted she's 'still insecure' about the excess skin she's carrying following her impressive 500lb weight loss.

In an exclusive look at the new season of the much-loved TLC series, Tammy, 38, and her sister, Amy Slaton - who was arrested at a safari park last month - are seen preparing to have makeovers, and they're both in charge of one another's new looks.

Speaking to the camera, Tammy admits: 'Getting a makeover for me is very important because I've come so far with my weight loss, and with all the excess skin, I'm still insecure about myself and I want to feel beautiful.'

Taking their seats at the beauty salon, a hairdresser asks the siblings: 'So what are you guys here for today?' to which Tammy replies: 'Just something new. A new life, a new body, a whole new look.'

Talking to camera again, she adds: 'Amy needs a makeover too because she don't do nothing for herself. Dyes her hair once in a blue moon. Literally blue! But I think to help her in her confidence and boost her self-esteem.'

Back in the beauty salon, mother-of-two Amy explains: 'I think I'm gonna pick Tammy's, and Tammy you're gonna pick mine?' before pleading with her sister: 'Please don't give me no natural color hair'

'We'll see,' Tammy replies slyly, as Amy informs her: 'And yellow is still a natural color,' but Tammy looks confused and asks: 'Blond?' to which she points at her top and says: 'No yellow.'

Referring to Amy's outfit, Tammy replies: 'You're ketchup and I'm mustard!' as her sister responds: 'I'm more like a wine,' as Amy jokes: 'I'm cheese!'

The two siblings burst out laughing as Amy has the final say and declares: 'I'm box wine, b****!'

The new season of 1000-Lb Sisters premieres on TLC on Tuesday, October 8 and will see the sisters embark on transformative journeys and overcome recent challenges to create fresh starts.

As well as changing their living situations, the pair continue to achieve their weight loss goals, and also undergo their stunning makeovers.

Alongside their brother, Chris, they eagerly await Dr. Smith’s approval for their next steps in skin removal surgery, and the family also decide to take a once-in-a-lifetime trip to England, inspired by a genealogist’s revelations about their U.K. heritage.

There, they seek to uncover the truth behind their mother’s intriguing claims of royal ancestry.

Mother-of-two Amy is seen frowning in a mugshot last month after she was arrested at the Alamo safari park after reportedly being bitten by a camel

The new episodes come just weeks after Amy was arrested along with Brian Scott Lovvorn on drugs and child endangerment charges following an incident at a Tennessee safari park on Labor Day.

Police were initially called to the Alamo safari park to reports a guest had been bitten by a camel.

Upon arrival, they noted 'suspicious odors' coming from their vehicle, according to the deputies.

The pair were arrested on charges of illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment.

Two children under the age of eight were in the car at the time of the arrest - Slaton's children Gage Deon, four, and Glenn Allen, two. Tammy reportedly picked up the children after the arrest.

Amy looked looked stony-faced as she arrived at court for her arraignment on September 5, where she pleaded not guilty to drug possession and child endangerment charges.
