The Golden Globes may take place in Los Angeles but the weekend’s festivities kicked off on Palm Springs on Friday night at the Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Film Awards. The annual event saw Nicole Kidman (“Babygirl”), the cast of “Emilia Pérez,” Ariana Grande (“Wicked”) and more being honored.
The following morning Jennifer Lopez and Cynthia Erivo and 10 emerging directors were recognized at Variety‘s 10 Directors to Watch and Creative Impact Awards brunch at the Parker Hotel.
