Here's what to know about this oddsboard:
BOYS IN BLUE: The aura of the two-time defending champs is only growing. The Dodgers winning the World Series over the Rays, Yankees, Red Sox and Astros are the top four results on the board, and the Dodgers at least making it to the World Series, win or lose, make up the top eight results on the board. A result that involves another team making it out of the National League other than L.A. doesn't appear until ninth on the board, with the Braves favored to beat the Rays. As for the team with the best record in the NL (and in all of baseball), the Brewers' first appearance on the board is in the 10th spot, where they are the underdogs against the Yanks.
THE AL EAST: Outside of the Dodgers' name appearing over and over, the Rays, Yankees and Red Sox — all in the AL East — are involved in the three most-favored World Series matchups. Each is favored to lose to L.A., but the Yankees beating the Dodgers is fifth on the board, while Tampa Bay doing the same thing is seventh. T.B. leads the AL East by six games over the Yankees, and it is nine games ahead of Boston. However, both the Yankees and Red Sox are atop the AL wild-card standings.
