Westminster City Council has been lambasted after encouraging staff to complete a "privilege" test as part of efforts to combat unconscious bias against ethnic minorities.
The council has defended the tests, claiming their "recruitment policies" are "industry standard".
Speaking to GB News, Political Commentator Aman Bhogal hit out at the recruitment process, branding it "absolutely bonkers".

Bhogal stated: "Before I came on here today, and I self-identified myself as a white male, and I guess that shot up my white privilege a great amount. Is this the Council of Westminster, or is it wanting to be the Council of West Mirpur?
"This is a loony Labour Westminster Council and I think it should be dismissed en masse for three things - for racist, anti-white discrimination, for criminal waste of taxpayer pounds, and let's not forget, neglect of basic duties to deliver good local services.
"Collecting your bins, making sure your roads have not got potholes, and making sure that it costs the local taxpayer the least amount of money."
Highlighting the value of hiring on "merit" rather than "ethnicity", Bhogal added that it is the "British way" to value hiring on merit alone.

Bhogal told GB News: "When I joined the diplomatic service, the first thing that I received was a letter from the head of the diplomatic service saying 'congratulations, you are now a member of the diplomatic service, you have been appointed on merit, through a fair and open competition'. And you know what? That's what makes Britain, Britain.
"We value merit, the very simple thing of rule of law and about doing the right thing, and I don't think Westminster Council is doing the right thing with this absolute bonkers thing."
Delviering her verdict on the "privilege test", host Emily Carver claimed the process is akin to the "wokest, far left of universities" in Britain.
She said: "This is far left, the wokest of universities student rubbish. But what's really concerning about this is that they're applying this type of thing to their recruitment process.
Bhogal told GB News that it is down to the 'loony Labour council' of Westminster

"You've got the council's chief executive saying that if you don't have a certain number of ethnic minority people on your candidate list, then you've got to proceed further with this decision making process.
"They're trying to manufacture who is working for their council, so that it perfectly aligns with the makeup of the council, as in the residents."
The council has defended its approach, with a Westminster council spokesman claiming: "Westminster City Council's recruitment policies are industry standard, entirely consistent with UK employment law and have been in place for a number of years."
The spokesman added the presentation "does not form any part of our formal policy, training or recruitment process."
