It has been eight years since his father was sworn in as 45th president of the United States.
And while history is set to repeat itself today a lot has changed since then, including Barron Trump.
Adorable photos show how the now-18-year-old university student was just an excitable little boy at Donald Trump's last inauguration.
Sporting a dark jacket which matched his presidential dad's, the youngster was all smiles as he attended the historic event in 2017.
Barron stuck close by his father's side and seemed to relish the occasion, even flashing a big thumbs up to the crowds.
Mom Melania was never far away, reaching down to help adjust her son's navy blue tie at one point.
These days, 6'9" Barron towers over the rest of his family - including his dad.
During last year's election, he reportedly played a crucial role advising Trump on how to connect with younger Gen-Z voters.

But even back in 2017, it was clear that Barron played a big part in his dad's life.
Images show him confidently waving to the crowds with the rest of the First Family as they headed into the ceremony.
Once inside, Barron watched over his father's shoulder as he formally signed his cabinet nominations into law.
He appeared at ease amongst the pageantry, sitting down to enjoy the Inaugural Luncheon in Statuary Hall and rubbing shoulders with some of the most influential people in the world.
Barron attended the ceremony along with his half-siblings, Tiffany Trump, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr.
Half-sister Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner were also in attendance.
Ivanka previously held an advisory role in her dad's administration, but is understood to be taking more of a backseat role this time around.
Trump will be sworn in again as 47th US president today ahead of his four-year term.

He has pledged to deport millions of immigrants, secure retribution against his political enemies and transform the role of the US on the world stage.
His inauguration completes a triumphant comeback for a political disruptor who survived two impeachment trials, a felony conviction, two assassination attempts and an indictment for attempting to overturn his 2020 election loss.
The ceremony will take place at noon EST inside the Rotunda of the US Capitol.
The swearing-in was moved indoors for the first time in 40 years due to the extreme cold.
It comes four years after a mob of Trump supporters breached the symbol of American democracy in an unsuccessful effort to forestall the Republican Trump's 2020 defeat to Democrat Joe Biden.
