Alien: Isolation 2 will take players to a colony world, with Creative Assembly revealing new details on the long-awaited sequel alongside a fresh trailer during Summer Game Fest 2026.
The game was first confirmed to be in development in 2024 as part of Alien: Isolation’s 10th anniversary celebrations. At the time, creative director Al Hope told fans that the studio had “heard your distress calls loud and clear” after years of requests for a follow-up to the acclaimed survival horror game.
While the latest trailer remains light on story details, Creative Assembly confirmed that a Xenomorph will be threatening the inhabitants of the colony world. According to the developer, players will navigate both the colony itself and the surrounding landscape in a “desperate struggle to survive and escape.”
Released in 2014, Alien: Isolation became one of the most acclaimed games based on the Alien franchise thanks to its atmosphere and unpredictable Xenomorph AI. Set aboard Sevastopol Station, it tasked players with surviving against a relentless Alien that adapted to player behavior throughout the campaign.
More than a decade after its release, the game is widely regarded as the best Alien adaptations and is one of our best horror games of all time.
Creative Assembly has not yet announced a release date for Alien: Isolation 2.
