Nintendo Switch 2 is almost here, and as with any new hardware launch, early adopters will want to know about all the games that are coming.
As part of its anticipated April 2 Direct dedicated to the Switch’s successor, Nintendo is expected to announce more games that will be available from day one. Previously, just one first-party title, a new Mario Kart, had been confirmed.
While not an exhaustive list by any means, here’s an up-to-date list of confirmed first and third-party Nintendo Switch 2 titles, as of April 2025.

Rumored launch titles
While much of the launch lineup remains a mystery, leaks, and rumors have suggested some other first and third-party games that could be on the system at launch.
For now, do take these inclusions with a pinch of salt, but it’s strongly implied many of the following could make their way over to the Switch 2:
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Assassin’s Creed Shadows
- Diablo 4
- Final Fantasy 7 Remake/Rebirth
- Halo: The Master Chief Collection
- Littlelands
- Metroid Prime 4
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
- My Time at Evershine
- Pokemon Legends Z-A
- Professor Layton and the New World of Steam
- Secret Forest
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Call of Duty
- Fallout 4
- Starfield
On January 20, 2025, just four days after the console was announced, it was leaked that Diablo 4 could be coming to the Switch 2 before the year was up. “According to what I’ve been told, Diablo 4 is already in the works for Nintendo Switch 2, so it wouldn’t be surprising at all if Diablo 4 was released in 2025 on Switch 2” revealed famed leaker, eXtas1s.

The leaker also claimed that we’ll be seeing the likes of Fallout 4, Starfield, Flight Simulator, Halo, and Call of Duty. However, these were purely speculation and should be treated as such. Thanks to Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, we know CoD is set to come to Nintendo Platforms for the next ten years. Given the next one likely releases in October, it makes sense to see it coming to the Switch 2.
Back in October 2024, a trailer for Yooka-Replaylee, a remastered version of the 2017 platformer, Yooka-Laylee, was the first game to be tied to the Switch 2. A splash screen at the end of a trailer simply listed ‘Nintendo’ among the platform section, without specifically naming any piece of hardware.
At the time, many assumed this to be the then-unrevealed Switch successor. Devs even teased as much, assuring they’d share more on the “mysterious” Nintendo inclusion soon. While we’ve not had any confirmation since, it appears a safe bet that this enhanced version of the game will make its way to the Switch 2 before long.
As well as PC, Yooka-Replaylee WILL be on PS5, Xbox Series and… Nintendo 👀

Beyond that, a few other smaller indie titles have claimed to be in the works for the Switch 2. For instance, Bestiario, a Persona-inspired RPG, has assured backers on Kickstarter that copies of the game will be available on the Switch successor. Meanwhile, Synth Beasts, an adventure title, included Switch 2 in its trailer’s title, implying a release there is inevitable.
Adding fuel to the speculative fire, insiders claim Microsoft is ready to bring just about all of its games over to the Switch 2, at some stage. This could open the door for not just future releases, but also to get plenty of Xbox classics over to the Nintendo system.
Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer doubled down on this idea in a January 25 appearance on Gamertag Radio, implying that Xbox ‘looks forward’ to supporting the Nintendo Switch 2 with its own games. While no titles were explicitly named, Spencer teased a budding relationship with Nintendo and implied nothing is off limits.
