“Anna Pigeon” has been renewed for Season 2 at USA Network, Variety has learned.
The drama series originally debuted on the basic cabler on Aug. 7, with the Season 1 finale set to air on Oct. 9. The show is based on Nevada Barr’s Anna Pigeon book series.
“It’s been really thrilling to see audiences fall in love with Anna and come to the park every week,” said series showrunner Morwyn Brebner. “We’re so grateful to our cast and crew who brought Nevada Barr’s iconic world to life with such heart and passion; we cannot wait to get back outside for season two.”
The series stars Tracy Spiridakos as Anna Pigeon, along with Paulina Alexis, Ronnie Rowe, Tricia Helfer, Kim Coates, Crystle Lightning, Cooper Levy, Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz, Ryan Northcott, Nikki Rae Hallow, Jordan Sledz, and Melanie Scrofano.
The Season 1 logline states that the show follows Pigeon, “a former city slicker who became a park ranger after a devastating loss changed the trajectory of her life forever. While Anna tries to outrun her demons, her focus turns to solving crimes that have taken place within national park grounds, no matter who or what gets in her way. Season two promises continued mystery and adventure, as Anna’s story continues to unfold.”
Brebner serves as showrunner, with Lea Thompson directing. Both are also executive producers alongside Brett Burlock, Sonia Hosko, Todd Berger, Julie Di Cresce, Tom Cox, Jordy Randall, Peter Emerson and Gordon Gilbertson. Leslie Cowan serves as producer. The series is produced by Cineflix and SEVEN24 Films for USA Network in association with Bell Media. Cineflix Rights is the exclusive international worldwide distribution partner, excluding the US.
“’Anna Pigeon’ has connected with audiences in a meaningful way, bringing a compelling new heroine and a fresh perspective to USA Network,” said Michael Sluchan, SVP of Scripted Content, Entertainment, at Versant. “We’re thrilled to continue Anna’s journey with Tracy, Morwyn, Lea and our incredible partners at Cineflix.”
“Anna Pigeon” is one of two scripted series currently airing on USA Network. The network also has Season 2 of the legal drama “The Rainmaker,” which is based on the John Grisham novel of the same name, set to debut on Oct. 16. USA Network has also greenlit the medical drama “Diplomatic Immunity” from Matt Corman and Chris Ord.
USA Network was one of the cable channels spun off into the standalone company Versant by Comcast in early 2026. Other channels now under Versant include MS Now (formerly MSNBC), E!, Syfy, and Oxygen.
