Argentina defender Cristian Romero appeared to snub US President Donald Trump during the medal presentation following his side's World Cup final defeat to Spain, creating one of the tournament's most talked-about moments.
The Tottenham captain walked past Trump without acknowledging him as he collected his runners-up medal after Argentina's 1-0 extra-time defeat at the New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday.
Video footage from the ceremony shows Romero accepting his medal from FIFA president Gianni Infantino before moving straight past Trump, who was standing alongside other world leaders greeting the players.
The 28-year-old then continued down the line without shaking the US President's hand.

The incident quickly went viral on social media, with many viewers interpreting Romero's actions as a deliberate snub.
Others suggested the defender may simply have been focused on leaving the stage following Argentina's heartbreaking defeat.
Romero also initially appeared to walk past Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum before turning back to greet her after shaking hands with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, leading some observers to suggest the sequence may have been more confusion than a calculated gesture.
Trump appeared not to notice Romero bypassing him, instead turning to collect another medal as the Argentina players filed past.
The US President later joined FIFA officials in presenting the World Cup trophy to Spain after Luis de la Fuente's side secured victory thanks to Ferran Torres' extra-time winner.

Romero's latest headline-grabbing moment comes just days after the centre-back criticised former Manchester United defender Gary Neville following Argentina's World Cup semi-final victory over England, branding comments made by the Sky Sports pundit as "stupid".
Argentina had hoped to retain the World Cup but fell short against a disciplined Spain side in what was Lionel Messi's final international appearance.
Despite creating chances throughout the contest, Lionel Scaloni's men were unable to find a breakthrough before Torres settled the contest in extra time to hand Spain their second World Cup title.
Neither Romero nor the Argentina Football Association had commented publicly on the medal ceremony incident at the time of publication.
