Ariana Grande’s mom, Joan Grande, showed support for her daughter in the wake of the singer announcing a step back from the spotlight.
When the Grammy winner posted a series of behind-the-scenes snaps from filming her “Petal” music video via Instagram on Monday, Joan gushed over the images.
“You are magnificent… and this video is incredible!!” Joan, 69, wrote in the comments section.
“I love it and I love you more!!!” Joan concluded.
Ariana, 33, captioned the social media upload with a lyric from the titular song off the “Petal” album, which was released Friday.
“petal in the pavement …… ♡,” the “Victorious” alum wrote.
The actress kicked the slideshow off with a photo of herself posing on set in a cow-print dress and heels.
The carousel included other looks from the music video, from Ariana’s off-the-shoulder black top to her blood-soaked ensemble.
The video sparked viral concern on social media over the “Wicked” star’s weight loss. Ariana’s rep subsequently revealed the songwriter will be “taking a step back from visibility” after her “Endless Sunshine” tour wraps next month due to “endless public scrutiny.”
“She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny,” the spokesperson added.
“This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much.”
Additionally, People confirmed Sunday that Ariana will no longer act in the West End revival of “Sunday in the Park with George” next summer opposite Jonathan Bailey.
The production team confirmed as much, tweeting their “understanding and support” for Ariana while wishing her “nothing but the best.”
While the performer has yet to directly comment on the public chatter, her post on Monday earned a slew of supportive comments, with fans dubbing the music video “cinema” and a “work of art.”
Stylist Law Roach and the project’s director, Christian Breslauer, both commented on the upload with multiple red heart emojis.
The “Thank U, Next” hitmaker has clapped back at “really dangerous” body-shaming in the past, saying in a tearful 2024 interview it’s “hard to protect [her]self from that noise.”
She re-posted the clip last year as a “loving reminder to all.”
