While the growing battle between the Trump Administration and US District Court Judge James E. Boasberg escalates, it has led to further scrutiny of both Judge Boasberg and Chief Justice Roberts, who has shown a willingness to slight Trump and is connected to Boasberg through the Russia Hoax FISA court scandal.

As background, Judge Boasberg started the fight when he issued an injunction in which he attempted to block the Trump Administration from using the John Adams Era Alien Enemies Act to deport gangsters affiliated with highly dangerous and violent gangs like the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua and the El Salvadorian gang MS-13.

That action turned into the scrutiny of, amongst other figures, Chief Justice John Roberts, who conservative commenters online have warned is unwilling to rein in Judge Boasberg and similarly woke district court judges, pointing to his involvement with the Russia Hoax FISA courts and his anti-Trump actions as evidence.

Amongst those anti-Trump incidents for which Chief Justice Roberts has been hammered as the Boasberg situation escalates and finds its way to the Supreme Court was one from President Trump’s January inauguration. In that incident, Chief Justice Roberts didn’t wait for Trump to put his hand on the Bible or for Melania to get in the right position before beginning, making the inauguration look shoddy and amateur. As could be expected, the internet blew up over the incident with renewed vigor, connecting it to Roberts’s stance on Boasberg.

Commenting on the matter in a post on X, an account going by “C3” noted that Roberts didn’t let Trump place his hand on the Bible and didn’t give Melania time to properly get in position. He said, beginning the post “Here’s a video of Roberts intentionally botching Trump’s swearing in on Inauguration Day. He did not let Melania get into position and did not tell Trump to place his hand on the Bible.”

Continuing, the C3 account then noted that though Chief Justice Roberts is in a position where he could block Judge Boasberg from wreaking havoc by issuing a potentially illegal injunction on President Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act to deport suspected Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gangsters, but, as shown by the Inauguration incident, appears unwilling to aid Trump. The account said, “He could stop Boasberg’s coup right now but he’s in the Resistance.”

Another poster who commented on the matter was Jere Memez, who noted that Melania was trying to get in position when Roberts started rattling off the oath, saying, “For those wondering why Trump’s hand wasn’t on the Bible. Justice Roberts started the oath before Melania could get there.”

One of the many accounts that commented on the Russia Hoax FISA court connection between Chief Justice Roberts and Judge Boasberg said, in a post on X, “Chief Justice John Roberts doesn’t like Trump demanding the removal of DC Judge Boasberg from the bench b/c it was Roberts who made the (ill-advised) decision to appoint Boasberg to a 7-year term on the corrupt FISA Court that rubber-stamped Comey & McCabe’s FISAs to spy on Trump.”
