A Connecticut mother caught doing nearly 110pmh while an infant and toddler rode in the back seat told police she was in a rush because she had to use the bathroom.

Brianna Guerin, 21, of New London, was zooming down Route 2 in Marlborough in a gray Honda Civic Sunday around 9pm in the left lane when a state police officer clocked her going 109pmh in a 65pmh zone.

She maintained her erratic speed even after the officer turned on his lights and sirens, police said.

Guerin eventually pulled over on the right shoulder and told the officer she had to use the restroom, 'despite having passed several rest areas prior to the traffic stop,' police said.

After running her information, the cop discovered her car's registration was suspended 'due to non-compliance with insurance requirements.'

Brianna Guerin, 21, was arrested after a Connecticut State Police officer caught her driving at 109pmh in a 65pmh zone while a toddler and infant rode in the backseat

Guerin (left) was charged with reckless driving, second-degree reckless endangerment, illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension, and two counts of risk of injury to a child

An unidentified adult female was in the passenger seat, police said.

Guerin was charged with reckless driving, second-degree reckless endangerment, illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension, and two counts of risk of injury to a child.

She was later released on a $1,000 cash bond referral, along with a referral to the Connecticut Department of Children and Families.

She is scheduled to attend an arraignment at Manchester Superior Court on November 18.

According to her Facebook page, Guerin studied at Southern Connecticut State University.

She recently turned 21 on April 17.

She told the officer that she was speeding because she had to go to the bathroom, despite having passed passing several rest areas prior to the traffic stop'

This comes just days after an Arizona mother lost her two children after trying to break up a backseat commotion on October 23.

The mom, 36, was driving a pickup truck down the hectic East Valley freeway when the tragedy struck, leaving her daughter, 11, and son, nine dead at the scene.

'As I understand it, it was kids playing loudly, roughhousing in the backseat, or some kind of thing that distracted her from the road, from what she told us,' Bart Graves, a Department of Public Safety spokesperson, said.

Around 10.15 am, the woman crashed her truck into a tow truck pulled over on the side of the road at a 'significant rate of speed,' Graves added.

A boy, six, was also in the vehicle when the accident occurred and suffered minor injuries. The mother was hospitalized as well.

Troopers did not believe the mother to be impaired while driving, Graves said.
