At least one more US service member has died following a massive Iranian missile attack in the continuing Middle East conflict, US Central Command said Sunday.
The unidentified soldier was killed in action Saturday during a controlled detonation of unexploded devices from a downed Iranian attack drone – while newly discovered human remains may belong to another service member who had been missing, CENTCOM said.
“After a thorough search, US military personnel found unidentified remains at the location earlier today,” the agency said. “An examination process to verify the remains is ongoing.”

That attack involved both drones and ballistic missiles aimed at US and allied forces stationed in Jordan, government officials said.
CENTCOM said Saturday’s fatal blast injured another service member who is being treated for minor injuries.
