Reform UK's Rupert Lowe has hit back at critics opposing a potential donation from Elon Musk to the party, dismissing their concerns as those of "bad losers".
Speaking on GB News, Lowe suggested establishment figures were "running scared" in the face of potential change.
His comments come amid growing speculation about a possible major donation from the Tesla tycoon to Reform UK.
"The penny is dropping. People want change and increasingly, British people are going to turn to Reform," Lowe told GB News viewers.
The meeting has sparked intense speculation about Reform UK's future funding prospects.
A Blairite think tank has called for Elon Musk to be blocked from making any potential multi-million-pound donation to Reform UK.
The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) has proposed introducing an annual cap of £100,000 from individual financial backers.
The think tank says the measure would help reverse what it sees as the 'Americanisation' of British politics.

"When you hear the establishment running scared like they are, it's hardly surprising they are going to change the rules," Lowe responded on GB News.
"They've used those rules to their advantage this whole time and as soon as they see a disruptor do the same thing, they're pretty sore," he added.
Lowe emphasised that any potential donation would need to follow proper procedures.
"We know it must be all done legally," he stated on GB News.
The Reform UK figure concluded his remarks by directly addressing the opposition to potential funding.
"I think it's a case of bad losers," he said.
