Bethenny Frankel wants Supermodel Café patrons to mention it all.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum hosted the grand opening of her Hamptons-based pop-up eatery Thursday, and she is already listening to feedback — both positive and negative.
“What people don’t realize is they are research and development,” Frankel, 55, said on Friday morning’s episode of SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio. “As long as I feel like they’re being honest and not doing it just to hate, people are the R&D team.”
For instance, Frankel said influencers Halley Kate Williams, Jazz Smith and Greta Louise Tomé told her they “didn’t like” the miso tahini, so she scrapped it from the menu.
“I mean, I could take something off the menu right now,” she said.
Supermodel Café is inspired by Frankel’s viral low-calorie, high-protein recipes she posts to social media.
During Page Six’s chat with Frankel, she was quick to acknowledge that healthier doesn’t always mean tastier — but eating guilt-free is worth it in the end.
“I mean, I can tell you it is not the best chicken I’ve ever tasted,” she admitted. “It is the best better-for-you, healthy, low-calorie chicken salad I’ve ever tasted.”
“I likely won’t be changing it because I like that people don’t feel guilty at all eating it.”
Frankel also isn’t above playing into backlash. The former reality star said she chooses to “lean into” the hate by serving menu items like the “Rage Bait Bagel.”
“I’m just excited that everyone’s talking to each other,” Frankel said. “I’m excited about the people. The product is secondary to me.”
“I mean, I’m glad it’s going well. I’m just having fun. Who cares? We started a month ago. Let’s see what happens.”
In fact, Frankel already has plans to expand her latest business venture.
The Skinnygirl founder told us she’s already gotten an offer from “a big-name brand” to open a café in St. Barts.
“It’s going to be like a living, breathing organism, which I love because it’s fun and people get to engage and it changes,” Frankel said. “Like Crumbl Cookies [has a] different cookie [every week], this could be a different store and location every month.”
