A bicyclist was fatally struck by an FDNY ambulance as he pedaled near a Staten Island firehouse earlier this week, cops said.

The unidentified man, believed to be in his 40s, was biking south in the northbound lane on Richmond Avenue in Graniteville around 10:30 p.m. Monday when the emergency vehicle hit him — knocking him from his ride, police said.

The ambulance driver, a 58-year-old man, was traveling south on Richmond Avenue and began turning left on Christopher Street when he hit the cyclist, authorities said.

The ambulance was not responding to an emergency and lights and sirens were not active at the time of the crash, the FDNY said.

The victim, who was riding a regular, non-motorized two-wheeled bicycle, suffered severe head and body trauma when he hit the pavement, cops said.

First responders transported the bicyclist to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
