The Biden administration is continuing to implement its nefarious scheme to cripple what it knows will be President-elect Donald Trump’s plan to stop the illegal-alien invasion that President Joe Biden unlawfully invited and permitted.
The subversive administration is selling border-wall materials at fire-sale prices to get rid of them before Trump takes office.
The Daily Wire obtained video from a Border Patrol agent that showed “unused sections of the wall being hauled away on the back of flatbed trucks from a section of the border just south of Tucson, a hotspot for illegal crossings during the Biden administration.”
The New York Post uncovered the possibly illegal sale in August.
Northbound Trucks
The border agent told The Daily Wire that the administration was moving a half a mile of wall — 880 yards — every day.
“They are taking it from three stations: Nogales, Tucson, and Three Points,” the border patrol agent told the website. “The goal is to move all of it off the border before Christmas.”
Why? Because Trump will restart building the wall using the materials that Biden didn’t. Biden shut down wall construction on entering office.
Selling the wall sections would tie up Trump’s plan to secure the border.
The government contractor, DP Trucking LLC, is transporting the pieces of the wall north on Interstate 19 to Pinal Airpark in Marana, Arizona, where it is being auctioned through GovPlanet, a surplus government equipment auction marketplace.
“They just started taking all the wall that was not used, which is still totally good and usable, and they started taking it northbound,” the agent said. “They’re pulling it all off the border.”
The company’s owner confirmed to the website that his company was moving the wall section, and the video shows “seemingly endless piles of unused border wall material.”
Auctions of wall material were held on December 4. Another was set for yesterday, and again for next week, the website reported. The company is selling “32.91’ X 7.91’ Steel Bollard Wall Sections w/Grout.”
Bidding began at $5.
“Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ), whose congressional district borders the Pinal Airpark where the material is being sold, said the Biden administration is ‘purposefully hamstringing’ Trump before he takes office,” the website reported:
“The Biden Administration is well aware they shouldn’t have reversed the construction of the border wall. If it’s true, they’re purposefully hamstringing an incoming president, it wouldn’t be shocking,” Crane told The Daily Wire. “Why would they want to see President Trump succeed with policies they aggressively sabotaged?”
The border agent told the website that Biden wants to stymie Trump. “When Trump comes back, and he wants to start the border wall all over again, the whole entire funding fight is gonna happen again,” the agent said. “That’s their play. He’s gonna have to fight for this — again.”
August Revelation
The video and border agent’s comment confirm what the New York Post reported in August.
The Biden administration, it said, was selling the wall parts for “peanuts”:
Since April, GovPlanet, an online auction house specializing in military surplus, has sold 81 lots of steel “square structural tubes” — intended for use as vertical bollards in the border barrier’s 30-foot-tall panels — hauling in about $2 million.
On Tuesday, GovPlanet netted $154,200 for 729 of the 28-foot-tall hollow beams, sold in five separate lots for an average $212 apiece.
Thirteen more lots are set to be auctioned on Aug. 23 and Aug. 30.
After he stopped building the wall, Biden let “up to $300 million” of wall components rust.
In April, the Senate passed the Finish It Act, which would have made “the feds use those materials on new wall construction — or hand the remaining stock over to states like Texas for use in their own border defense projects.”
Biden did neither, and to frustrate the bill, began the fire sale before the U.S. House passed a companion bill.
Understandably, GOP lawmakers fumed, the Post reported:
“This sale is a wasteful and ludicrous decision by the Biden administration that only serves as further proof they have no shame,” Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.), the bill’s sponsor, told The Post — denouncing the move as “outrageous, behind-the-scenes maneuvering.”
“Leaving the border open to terrorists while selling border security materials at a loss is Bidenomics in a nutshell,” said Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), a co-sponsor.
“The pennies made from selling the border wall will not be enough to pay the families who suffer from a criminal act committed by someone who crossed our open borders during the Biden administration,” railed Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford.
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) called the fire sale “reckless.”
“Our borders continue to be overrun by an unprecedented number of illegal immigrants, turning every district into a border district, and compromising our national security,” Stefanik said.
The administration accelerated the sales when Wicker introduced the bill, then boosted them again after the Senate passed a defense bill.
The Department of Defense claimed the tubes were “excess border wall materials.”
The GovPlanet auction site said it couldn’t discuss the border wall sale, the Post reported:
“Good for building a wall,” a user called honest_jake wrote Aug. 3 under a GovPlanet Instagram post touting the sale of “industrial steel tubing” — an entry that was deleted from the social media site Friday.
“Why don’t you put that up instead of selling it,” added Brian Prewitt. “This is why taxpayers are just about done paying taxes.”
“Instead of securing the border, President Biden is auctioning off taxpayer-funded wall materials for pennies on the dollar,” GOP Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa wrote on X. “He cannot avoid Congress’ accountability and must use these parts for their intended purposes. BUILD the wall and FINISH it!”
