Big Shot Pictures has announced movie executive and producer Adam Rosenberg as its new head of film.
Rosenberg will lead the family entertainment company’s feature film development and production, leveraging its multi-year deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment.
“Adam is a dynamic creative force with a stellar track record of steering some of the most acclaimed franchises,” said Brian Robbins, the founder of Big Shot Pictures. “As we build a modern studio designed for how audiences connect with content today, Adam will bring invaluable studio experience and taste to our forward-thinking digital vision.”
Rosenberg added, “Big Shot is making a great bet on beloved stories, bold new ones and meeting families where they actually are today. What Brian and the team have built in such a short time is remarkable and I’m thrilled to be joining them.”
Before joining Big Shot Pictures, Rosenberg co-founded Modern Magic, where he produced the animated film “Goat” for Sony Pictures Animation. He previously served as co-president of production at MGM, working there for ten years. While there, he executive produced “Creed III” and oversaw production on films such as “Candyman,” “Respect” and “The Magnificent Seven.” Beginning his career as an assistant to Scott Rudin, Rosenberg also served as senior vice president at Spyglass.
Big Shot Pictures recently acquired the “Eloise” franchise earlier this year, as well as a $25 million stake in “Alvin and the Chipmunks” via a joint venture with Bagdasarian Productions. The entertainment company is also in pre-production for an anime series written and produced by “One Piece” showrunner Matt Owens.
