Hillary Clinton - Trump's 2016 Democratic rival - received chants of 'lock her up.'
Trump supporters called Pence, Trump's former VP, a 'traitor.'
Due to the frigid cold - it was in the 20s as Trump was sworn-in - inauguration was moved indoors for the first time in 40 years.
That meant that the thousands of Trump supporters who would have watched the swearing-in from the National Mall were relocated to the Capital One Arena, where the Washington Capitals and Wizards play.
While the Clintons and Pence were greeted with applause by those who scored a seat to be in the Capitol Rotunda - VIPs like Tim Cook, Dana White and Tucker Carlson - the more unruly MAGA crowd let their feelings fly.
Pence and Trump had a falling out over the January 6 Capitol attack, with Trump not calling off the assault for hours.
Pence was targeted due to his refusal to overturn the 2020 election, with the crowd erecting gallows and chanting 'hang Mike Pence.'

Trump and Pence came face-to-face earlier this month at President Jimmy Carter's funeral.
While the former vice president stood and shook Trump's hand, following the lead of former Vice President Al Gore, Karen Pence snubbed both Trumps.
She stayed seated and looked forward as Melania and then Donald walked down the pew.
Karen Pence skipped Monday's inauguration.
Former first lady Michelle Obama also decided not to come.
She didn't appear at Carter's funeral either.

A spokesperson did not reveal why Michelle wasn't attending Trump's second swearing-in but with Carter's funeral blamed a 'scheduling conflict' and said she remained in Hawaii.
Michelle Obama celebrated her 61st birthday on Friday.
Obama also received boos from the Capital One Arena crowd when he showed up to the swearing-in solo.
Trump will head over to the Capital One Arena after the inaugural luncheon to greet his supporters and watch the parade from there.
Later he'll attend three official inaugural balls.
