Camilla compared the party's home affairs spokesman to David Lammy, the Deputy Prime Minister and Lord Chancellor, who is appearing on the likes of the BBC and Sky News this morning, but not Britain's News Channel.

Admitting she felt "baffled", the presenter said: "He's pulled out, doesn't want to do my show - a little bit like David Lammy... I don't know why they're running scared. These two tough guys of the political scene.

"I mean, I appreciate I don't ever give politicians a sponge bath. I mean, no one wants to see that.

"I'm only asking questions on behalf of GB News listeners and viewers because, hey, it's journalism. It's called my job."

She added: "I suppose if you want to go off onto other shows and be soft soaped, that's fine.

"But if you're somebody like Yusuf and you claim that you're able to run the country, I'd suggest you probably do need to handle a Tominey grilling first."

But Camilla also said she hoped Reform was not taking the GB News audience "for granted".

"Because you know they could vote for anyone can they at any point," she warned. "And I just think hubris is a very dangerous thing in politics."
