A comedian claims he was kicked out of a Walmart store after confronting a woman he believed was a secret shopper.

The jokester, who goes by Poohh Hefner Jr. (@hefceno88) on Instagram, filmed himself walking through a Walmart and trailing a female shopper.

Approaching her from behind, Hefner then scared the woman by shouting at her: 'What is your a** doing following people in here?'

He then proceeded to laugh while the frightened woman walked away in shock.

According to the comedian, his actions were enough to get him kicked out of the store.

His original Instagram video of the incident, posted on October 8, has received over 2,400 views and more than 2 million likes.

Despite Hefner claiming the woman was a secret shopper, Walmart states that the company doesn't work with them.

'Mystery shopping, sometimes referred to as secret shopping, is where an individual is hired to "act" like a customer, and evaluate services at a business,' Walmart states on its website

'Walmart does NOT utilize these services or hire associates to perform services on behalf of other retailers or companies.'

Some viewers claimed the woman was actually a 'floorwalker.'

Floorwalkers are employees in regular clothing whose job is to monitor shoppers and watch out for suspicious behavior or shoplifting.

'I don't know how to explain but she just looks like a Walmart worker,' one commenter wrote in a follow-up post of the encounter shared by the comedian on November 20.

'They're always the MOST obvious person in the building,' another added.

'Like yeah you're just looking me from the end of the aisle while not looking for anything yourself? Oh for sure.'

Walmart warned that scammers may try to recruit so-called secret shoppers and send fraudulent information via mail, text, or email.

'Often times these offers of employment are accompanied by a fake check made out for a large amount of money or otherwise offer immediate employment with a good salary and minimal effort required,' its website reads.

Walmart has a 'no secret shopper' policy put in place and explained that anyone claiming to be one could be a scammer

The company insisted that people can protect themselves from these so-called secret shoppers by not opening or responding to emails from anyone claiming to be one.

Walmart also advises those who are contacted to not deposit checks given to them from a 'mystery shopping' company and not click on anything advertising free gift cards.

'Remember, if it sounds too good to believe, it is!,' its website says.
