Bournemouth handed Arsenal their first defeat of the season as second-half goals from substitutes Ryan Christie and Justin Kluivert saw the hosts win 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s men weren’t helped by William Saliba’s red card, their third dismissal of the season in just eight Premier League games. The France defender was given his marching orders after 30 minutes following his last-man foul on Evanilson when the Cherries striker attempted to race onto Leandro Trossard’s wayward pass.
Christie scored from a well-worked Bournemouth corner routine in the 70th minute, while Kluivert converted from the penalty spot nine minutes later after Evanilson was felled in the box by Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya.
The result means Manchester City are the only remaining unbeaten team in the Premier League this season.
