A 17-year-old boy died in his twin brother's arms after he was stabbed in the heart at a track and field meet in Texas for asking someone to get out of his seat.
Austin Metcalf was attacked on Wednesday at the Kuykendall Stadium in Fresco after he told 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony he was sitting in the wrong chair, according to the late teen's family.
Anthony was charged with murder after he allegedly stabbed Metcalf in the heart as his twin brother Hunter watched in horror and then tried to save his life.
'I tried to whip around as fast as I could,' a heartbroken Hunter told WFAA. 'I looked at my brother and I’m not going to talk about the rest. I tried to help him.'
Hunter then called his parents, who rushed to Austin's side but found him not breathing.
'I could see all the blood, and I saw where the wound was, and I was very concerned, so I had to find his brother, and we rushed to the hospital. And we prayed, and it’s God’s plan, I don’t understand it, but they weren’t able to save him. This is murder,' his father Jeff Metcalf said.
After the incident occurred, the meet was suspended, the stadium was 'immediately secured', and students were sent back to their home campuses, according to Frisco officials.

Police have arrested and charged 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony in Austin Metcalf's murder
Austin, a junior, was a star football player at Frisco's Memorial High School and planned to be a college athlete.
A GoFundMe set up for him says he was recently voted Most Valuable Player and had a 4.0 GPA at school.
His father Jeff questioned Anthony's upbringing while saying that he already forgave the alleged killer.
'I’m not trying to judge, but what kind of parents did this child have? What was he taught? He brought a knife to a track meet and he murdered my son by stabbing him in the heart. The guy was in the wrong place and they asked him to move and he bowed up [became angry and aggressive]. This is murder,' Jeff Metcalf said.
'You know what, I already forgive this person. Already. God takes care of things. God is going to take care of me. God is going to take care of my family,' he added.
The grieving father also said he feels bad for Anthony's family.
'I feel for [the suspect's] family because now their son will end up in prison and learn that he killed someone, and he devastated and killed my son who I can never get back. It's unfortunate for everyone involved,' Jeff Metcalf said.
Anthony is a senior at Frisco Centennial High School.
