A shameless accused shoplifter who tried to get away with $500 worth of goods was blocked from stealing by the store's no-nonsense Toronto, Canada, security guard.

An X video posted on Wednesday captured an unidentified woman quickly trying to leave a Shoppers Drug Mart while a security guard kept blocking her with both of his hands behind his back.

He then grabbed the bag allegedly filled with unpaid for products, leaving one of his hands behind his back holding his phone.

The woman is heard screaming: 'There's a no-touch policy!

'I know my rights!' she bellowed at him.

A Toronto woman fought against a Shopper Dug Mart security guard to try and steal $500 in products

While they were tugging on the bag in a heated back and forth, the woman seemed aggravated and flustered, while the security guard remained calm an unfazed by her extreme efforts to get away.

He told the shoplifter: 'I am not touching you, this is the bag.'

'I'm two months pregnant, let me go,' the woman claimed during the stolen items tug-of-war.

She also yelled that she would spray him with pepper spray and gestured to her back pocket. But the security guard called her bluff, and she did not even have any.

The guard put his hand behind his back while blocking the attempted thief from leaving

After about a minute-long struggle, where the woman seemed to be putting her entire body weight into pulling away from the guard, she finally gave up and let go of the bag.

She stormed out of the store as the guard and someone recording let her know she was now banned from shopping there. Enraged by her failed attempt, she pushed over a rack on her way out.

People have chimed in with there thoughts on the incident and how it was handled.

One user wrote on X: 'I absolutely loathe this city now. The entitlement of criminals is astonishing.'

Another person commented: 'Nice job by that dude.'

This incident comes after a California shoplifter was arrested for stealing $600 worth of makeup and $250 worth of workout gear.
