Brazil’s coffee exports reached unprecedented levels in 2024, as reported by the Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafé) on Wednesday. The country shipped 50.44 million 60-kg bags of coffee, marking a 28.5% increase from 2023’s 39.24 million bags.
This remarkable growth set a new record for Brazil, the world’s leading coffee producer and exporter. Never before had the nation exported more than 50 million 60-kg bags in a single year. The surge in exports generated $1.145 billion in revenue, another all-time high for the Brazilian coffee industry.
Márcio Ferreira, President of Cecafé, attributed this success largely to record shipments of Brazilian Arabica coffee. Arabica beans dominated the export market, accounting for 73.2% of all shipments.
