BREAKING: Chuck Schumer just confirmed another lifelong federal judge with a vote of 50-48. Republican Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Braun didn't show up to block the confirmation by making it 50-50.
Kamala is currently in Hawaii, so she couldn't have cast the tie-breaking vote.
Senator JD Vance is our VP-elect and still took time out of his busy schedule to show up & vote. Where were Ted Cruz and Mike Braun? We could've stopped this nomination or, at the very least, slowed down Schumer. If Republicans were the ones speedrunning confirmations like Schumer, every Democrat Senator would be in town.
WISE UP! Leave the lobbyist dinners and DO YOUR JOBS.

Republicans have dropped the ball on this over the last few days. Seems like Trump got caught off guard, but he's got a lot on his plate. This should be a wake up call to him that Senate Republican leadership is either really bad at their job or are intentionally sabotaging the agenda they claim to support.
Why Didn't Thune call an all hands on deck? Trump has seen his first example of how unreliable Thune is. Trump needs to have his own line of communication with MAGA Senators who will warn him of pending issues like this. He can't count on Thune.

There’s some question as to whether the other confirmations could have been blocked had all Republican Senators been present. But in this instance, it’s clear the confirmation could have been prevented as Kamala is in Hawaii.
