(LifeSiteNews) — Milo Yiannopoulos has been officially deported from the United States after being arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Thursday.
“On August 28, ICE deported Milo Yiannopoulos, an illegal alien from the United Kingdom, back to his home country. A day prior, ICE arrested Yiannopoulos at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Kenner, Louisiana,” a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson told the New York Post.
The DHS explained on Friday that “Yiannopoulos was issued a final order of removal by an Immigration Judge on July 22, after failing to show up for his immigration hearing. He will remain in ICE custody pending removal.”
“Yiannopoulos legally entered the country on May 14, 2019, through New York City, New York. He chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws.”

Milo is a British citizen who was known to be living in the U.S. on a temporary O-1 visa for individuals with “extraordinary ability.”
Outspoken MAGA activist Laura Loomer appeared to take credit for Milo’s arrest. A Financial Times article from 2025 described Loomer as having outsized influence on the Trump administration.
“For someone with no official role in the government she has shaped White House personnel and policy decisions to a degree that many find baffling,” reads the article.
In 2021, Yiannopoulos granted an interview to LifeSiteNews breaking the news that he was now an “ex-homosexual” and that he had consecrated his life to St. Joseph after reverting to Catholicism.
“DHS reversed the horrendous Biden-era policy that allowed aliens in our country illegally to jet around our country. Under President Trump, DHS will no longer tolerate this,” a DHS spokesperson said in a statement. “This administration is working diligently to ensure that aliens in our country illegally can no longer fly unless it is out of our country to self-deport.”
