Brielle Biermann insisted she meant no harm by posting her rejected wedding dress.
The reality star, 29, spoke out Tuesday after igniting furor on the internet over her seemingly trying to steal Brigette Pheloung’s shine when it comes to the influencer’s Vera Wang wedding dress. The drama started when Biermann shared a video on Instagram Sunday of herself trying on the dress, writing, “the dress I almost said yes to.”
Pheloung, 29, wore the stunning dress Saturday, when she married Mitch McHale. Pics of her in the dress leaked online before she debuted her wedding pics Monday on her fashion and lifestyle social media page @AcquiredStyle.
Biermann addressed the criticism “once & for all” on her Instagram Stories, insisting her post had nothing to do with undermining the popular influencer.
“As you’ll see, I made this video on Friday. We had it scheduled to be posted on Sunday for engagement purposes,” she wrote. “I’ve never met @acquired.style & did not know she was getting married this weekend, let alone see a leaked photo of her!”
She added, “She clearly has great taste that she went with Vera Wang for her dress! … I genuinely hope you had a fabulous wedding day & enjoyed your dress!”
Biermann, who got engaged to baseball player Billy Seidl in February 2024, posted the Story after she got a barrage of negative comments on her post of the designer dress.
One user wrote, “lengths people go for clout from someone else’s special day is crazy. Respect the hustle though 😂.”
Another comment reads, “No forsureeeeee it’s just a coincidence to dedicate an entire post to the dress u DIDNT choose the same day someone else gets leaked in the same dress forsureeeee a concidence.”
One follower accused her of “giving mean girl energy.”
Biermann responded to a comment that read, “So it’s just a coincidence that you’re posting this as the first pics of acquired’s dress got leaked…. Rightttt,” writing back, “? Do you think I ran to Vera Wang today to try this dress on and post it lmao.”
Pheloung didn’t appear to let the drama get her down. She posted a TikTok of herself Monday in the Vera Wang gown, writing, “the dress of my dreams.”
Her gorgeous wedding photos on @AcquiredStyle also received plenty of glowing comments, with one fan writing, “My jaw is on the floor.”
Another enthusiastic follower wrote, “Incredible stunning gorgeous princess!!!!!”
