Brigadier-General Nadav Lotan was promoted to the rank of Major-General ahead of becoming the commander of the IDF's ground forces at a ceremony held at the Kirya military headquarters on Thursday, the military said.
The ceremony was attended by IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, former defense minister Yoav Gallant, Lotan's family, and other senior IDF officials.
